XF150MAx Crossflow Cellular Drift Eliminators are engineered to deliver maximum drift reduction in crossflow cooling tower systems. Their design channels the airflow upward with a discharge angle of about 40–55° from the horizontal, depending on how they’re installed. Built-in drainage grooves ensure that any collected water is guided back into the tower’s wet section, even under direct spray.
Each module is manufactured from corrugated, sinusoidal-shaped PVC sheets with matching wave structures to create enclosed cells. As air passes through these cells, droplets are forced to change direction three times. This repeated redirection generates centrifugal force, which drives the droplets to the cell walls where they accumulate and return to the tower’s wet zone—significantly reducing drift losses.
